Privacy Policy

Balanced Paw (“we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Paws Collective Corp., based in Ontario, Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy law.

Information we collect

• You give us: your name, contact details (email, phone), address, and information about your dog (name, breed, age, sex, health, behaviour) when you contact us, request a consultation, book a service, or sign our agreements.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider when you pay. We don't store full card numbers ourselves.
• Website: basic technical data needed to operate and secure the site. We don't use marketing or analytics tracking cookies.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry, schedule and provide training, communicate with you, process payments, and keep business records. We never sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

Only with trusted service providers acting on our behalf to run the business, where required by law, or with your consent. These providers include QuickBooks (invoicing & accounting), Stripe (payments), DocuSeal (e-signed agreements), Supabase (secure storage), Resend (email), and Google Calendar (scheduling).

Media

With your separate signed media release, we may publish photos and videos from training using your dog's name and your first name only, never your last name or contact details. You can revoke it for future use anytime by emailing hope@balancedpaw.ca.

Your rights (PIPEDA)

You can access, correct, or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent to its use for marketing, by emailing hope@balancedpaw.ca. Withdrawing marketing consent doesn't affect information needed to deliver services you've engaged.

Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymize it.

Children

Our services are directed to adults (dog owners). We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above changes, and material updates are posted here.
